My Teaching Style is to build a relationship with the student and their family. That is based on trust, confidence and a great deal of praise. Everyones performance is driven by the encouragement that they get on a daily basis. So a very important part of my teaching style is to include the whole family. I have over twenty years of experience teaching reading. I completed all of the Houghton/Mifflin Language Arts training sessions that taught California teachers how to be expert Language Arts teachers. I have also attended many Language Arts training sessions through my school district and county education offices. I also ran Language Arts and ESL Intervention programs at my school. I have a B.S. and a Master's degree in Education, and I am CLAD Certified. I love teaching and get along very well with children. I respect them and I know how to inspire them to do their best work.
