I have taught reading for four years. I have taught grades Kindergarten through fifth grade reading curriculum. I provide reading interventions daily for my students, as well as the core reading curriculum. I am familiar with Corrective Reading, Six Minute Solutions Fluency, Sound Partners, etc. I have had extensive practice with teaching comprehension skills and building blending/decoding skills. As a teacher with dyslexia I felt that I was unable to teach reading to my students. I went in search of more training and found Alphabetic Phonics a Orton Gillingham program. I have sense used what I learn in the almost 160 hours of training with 11 students and seen progress in all of them. I love working with children and helping fulfill their potential.
