I have been a tutor for this past school year at Saint Xavier University and tutored developmental Math. I have also tutored calculus, geometry, algebra, and trig while i have been attending my undergraduate degree.I have found that the best way to tutor a subject is to get to learn the students learning style and then using real life applications so that the student can get a better grasp of the material and it has worked well when i was at Saint Xavier.

From my tutoring experience in college, I have learned that everyone has a different learning style. In order to be an excellent tutor, one needs to adapt to their tutee’s needs. One also needs to be patient with their tutee. It is very important to be able to explain a problem in several different ways in case the first few ways do not make sense to the tutee. I believe that the best way for a student to learn is through practice and determination.
