A Little Bit About Me...

I have been a camp counselor, tutor, coach and teacher. I have taught English in Ghana, preschool in Argentina and special education in the Bronx. I have taught and worked with children of all levels, ages and backgrounds. I am very strong in writing and communication, but have also taught math up to fifth grade. I have taught science and social studies up to fifth grade as well.
I believe all children can learn, but that all children learn differently. Having taught special education, I had a range of grade levels in my class. Very often the students would be spread out over three grade levels. Because of this, I am extremely good at tailoring my instruction to different levels and learning types. I was Lead Tutor at Armstrong Atlantic State University (2001-2003) in the Writing Center. I had previously tutored at Greenfield Community College in the Learning Center (1996-1998). My passion is to teach children with special needs (Autism). My BA degree was in Psychology (2008). I have tutored in in English, Psychology, and Biology.
