I am a recent college graduate. I have tutored at the University of South Carolina level in math courses from Algebra I to upper level calculus courses. I have also conducted seminars for students and professors at USCA on specially selected topics for the department to approve of my teaching skills. I have a Bachelors degree in Industrial Mathematics from University of South Carolina Aiken. I find out from the student their level of understanding on a particular subject and then go from there. I started substitute teaching when I was in undergraduate school just as a source of income and because I like teaching. My mother is a retired teacher who taught for over 30 years. I work as an engineer but I always find time to tutor. I have tutored with an SES program and have found that this worked really well. Focusing on how the children learn as a method to approach how they should be tutored is very effective and the children learn.
