Typical key elements of my courses include flexible lesson planning, personalized tests/quizzes, adding cultural content, and incorporating student ideas as much as possible. I have over 20 years of experience working as a university instructor and private teacher for students ages 11-50. Most of my experience has been in English as a Second Language programs for community colleges and research universities, including M.I.T. and Tufts University. As the son of two life-long public educators, the importance of a quality education has always a major theme in my life. Upon entering college I choose mathematics as a major due to the proficiency I have always had in the subject. During my studies I realized that I had an innate ability to not only grasp and understand difficult mathematical concepts, but also to explain them to others. Thus I began to tutor fellow peers and other scholastic students in subjects ranging from Pre-Algebra to Calculus II. I have continued tutoring for the last two and a half years.
