My style of tutoring is skills-focused, with a goal of student independence. I am patient and work to facilitate a student’s ability to do the work herself, by giving her strategies for navigating her own work, and helping her to see, or mentally organize, reading and writing in new ways. Positive encouragement and building self-confidence are always important to me. Finally, I feel students learn best while doing meaningful work toward their own academic goals within a safe, fun environment. Tutoring is a joyful challenge and privilege for me and I look forward to helping more students in the future.

I am enrolled in the UCLA Certificate of College Counseling Program. My speciality is assisting students in finding their unique voice in the college application process.
