I have been homeschooling my three young children for 6 years, I really enjoy the learning process of younger children. I have extensive teaching experience in areas of creative arts, dance, drama. I am very familiar with math, anatomy, physiology, social studies and government. I have a degree that has allowed me to be fluent in anatomy and physiology. Math is a very close second, pre-algebra and algebra specifically.

My style of tutoring is skills-focused, with a goal of student independence. I am patient and work to facilitate a student’s ability to do the work herself, by giving her strategies for navigating her own work, and helping her to see, or mentally organize, reading and writing in new ways. Positive encouragement and building self-confidence are always important to me. Finally, I feel students learn best while doing meaningful work toward their own academic goals within a safe, fun environment.
