I've never actually tutored someone, but I am very good at relating with younger kids and High Schoolers. I was in band from 8th grade to 12th grade where I participated in the Front Ensemble section with keyboards, vibraphones, marimbas, xylophones and various other instruments. I enjoy working with elementary aged children. I believe that all children want to learn but all have individual styles that an instructor must recognize. You can actually see the "a-ha" factor when a child has processed and understood something. That is my favorite expression. It looks like surprise and joy all in one facial expression.
