In 1999, I graduated from Georgia Southern University with dual degrees in Accounting and Computer Information Systems. Upon graduation, I was employed with Arthur Andersen LLP, the top accounting firm in the nation at the time. In 2003, I received my accounting certification from the State of North Carolina. My accounting experience is wide and diverse. I have been honored to manage the accounting departments for some of the top companies in the United States, such as Kraft Foods and Nestle.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is very hands on and adaptive. Accounting is one of those subjects that is difficult for most students, so I adapt my style to each student. My past students have been at the bachelor’s, masters, and the professional level. I feel what sets me apart from other tutors is my real world experience. When a tutor can apply accounting principles to the real world, it is easier for the student to comprehend. I feel it is imperative to go beyond standard textbook terms and problems. An efficient and proficient tutor ensures that their client understands as well as comprehend.
