During my time there, I focused on FAS 109 and corporate tax compliance. My FAS 109 experience includes preparing and reviewing the tax provision piece of the 10-K. I have broad experience in tax compliance came from working with big high tech companies in Silicon Valley. My teaching style is hands on. I give hints and partial answers in an effort to encourage students to think through problems and attempt to solve them. If necessary, I separate an idea into simpler terms, and help students learn each term before continuing. I give examples which illustrate a point or demonstrate a procedure. At times, my students write short essays, which I critique for sentence structure, word choice, tense matching, and organization. When a student is reading aloud, I follow along, interjecting if necessary with the correct pronunciation or the proper syllable emphasis.
In college, I was taught to organize topics in Math, Science and English, using outlines. This ensured that I studied all of the material presented in class. A Little Bit About Me...

I have always been driven to learn and pursue and education, this led me to completing my bachelor's degree in biology with a minor in history from UC- San Diego. I enjoyed tutoring math, science and english while in high school and continued in college. After graduating I volunteered in Chile teaching English which greatly improved my teaching skills and improved my Spanish Language abilities. I currently work as a substitute teacher which allows me to continue to gain teaching experience while I work towards a full credential
I am very patient and outgoing with students, I try to gain a good understanding of where there are at in order to help them understand what is needed and how to achieve their goals. I strive to make a positive impact on my students lives in and out of the classroom.
