A Little Bit About Me...

I have just received my BA in E-Business management with a minor in Criminal Justice. I am beginning my Masters in Criminal Justice in March and will continue to a Dr. in the same field when possible. I do not have professional experience teaching however I have experience tutoring my niece who I have been responsible for since she was 5. She is now 12 and a straight A student. I tutored throughout school and was a teachers aid in Elementary school. I have 2 young boys of my own who will beginning school next year. I have tutored in writing, K-5 math, science and history. I also have tutored in Music including theory and playing. (Piano, Oboe, English horn, Trumpet, drums, guitar and a few other instruments)

But all children can learn. I use creative ways to help children achieve the benchmarks they need to accomplish. I have high expectations for my students and work hard to help them be successful.
My 30 plus years ofteaching experience includes elementary grades, language arts, information literacy, and children’s literature on the college level. I teach intervention and FCAT preparation groups for elementary students in writing, reading, and math. As a Media Specialist, I encourage students to love reading.
