I enjoy using a variety of techniques with my students. We play games, use various software programs, and other helpful one on one devices to assist students in understanding and remembering concepts.
I have served as a guidance counselor in middle schools for almost forty years and retired in December, 2013. During the last twelve years, I have tutored students in math in groups and individually. Computer and other skills available, what I know I share.

Took three years of college courses on Psychology at Ashford University, trained with a Computer Troubleshooting Specialist for four years, have two books of my own written word poetry published. In my time at Ashford I picked plenty of shareable skills, study skills, time management, and using my keyboard to it's fullest potential to meet deadlines. While training with the Computer Troubleshooter, I learned more about how to use software and typing/keyboard shortcuts to utilize computers to their full potential. I also learned how to use properly install hardware and to build a desktop, and where to find reasonably priced keyboard components.

My teaching style has always been relaxed. I enjoy a good discussion of a text and welcome new ideas. A Little Bit About Me...

An underlying emphasis of my career, either as a teacher, principal or superintendent, has been a focus on helping challenged students. Beyond several years teaching and serving as an administrator at many levels within the educational field, I have taught and tutored students both in the U.S. and China.
