I'm laid back and like to draw the student's interests. I love small details and histories and to make a student think. I've worked in the ESL (or related) field for a total of 8 years. I was a Foreign Language Expert in China for 3 years and am finishing my 4th year as a rater for the TOEFL exam. I also taught Spanish for a year. Just as everyone has their own learning style, teachers have their own teaching style. I see my style as more hands on. When I create lesson plans, I like to think outside the box and find ways that motivate students in connection to their interests. July 2011 I graduated from University of West Georgia in Carrollton with a B.S. in Middle Grades Education. I began substituting for the Heard County School System in August 2011. I am not a certified teacher but do have a highschool diploma from Coosa High School. I am currently a working college student, in which I want to major in English. As a person I have always held my work ethic to remarkable standards. I've finished an Associate's Degree in two years flat, and am well on my way to having completed a bachelor's in only three and a half years time.
