Before teaching, I worked as a Doctor specializing in Clinical Pathology, including Microbiology. In this work, I studied in-depth the characteristics and life cycles of different microorganisms, including viruses, bacteria, protozoan, and fungi, and performed culture and sensitivity testing of the microorganisms. With my experience in the Clinical Pathology Training Program for 4 years, I decided to teach a Microbiology class, including laboratory, at Lorma Colleges in the Philippines. I graduated with a BS in Biotechnology and a BA in Chemistry. I am currently working on a MS in Chemistry with a concentration in Biochemistry. I have been an intern at University of Wisconsin-Madison focusing on locating a point mutation in Salmonella enterica. I was also employed at MPI Research to do more research. In addition, I am extensively trained to write and read scientific articles. I have experience teaching many areas including Biology, Chemistry, and Math.
I am very passionate about education. I used a variety of techniques such as reading to the student, extending what they know, providing visual aids, etc. I like to use a variety of tools to explain lessons because different methods can improve or help a student learn a subject much better.
