I generally enjoy using flash cards as a form to help the child grow in what ever subject they need help growing in. More importantly though to me it generally depends on the child his/herself and if they are auditory, visual, or kinesthetic learners. During my undergraduate work at Florida State University I had the opportunity to spend many hours over the course of two years working in elementary schools with children. I have taught and helped tutor in all elementary subjects. My main internship was in a first grade classroom. I have always enjoyed working with children and seeing the light of understanding in their eyes. I try and find the style in which the child learns best. Many children just need help getting to where they want to go. I don't believe in ever just giving a child answers.
