Experience Summary
I have much experience tutoring young children from ages 5-14 in all of the four main subjects. It all started with my little sister when I was in High school and began expanding from their with her classmates and classmate friends and so forth bringing me to volunteer at the YMCA for young boys and girls club after school program, and I also have worked at public schools in D.C for after school programs for home work time. I have been tutoring for the past 5 years and have used my experience to help young children grow in education and achieve academic goals.
Teaching Style
I generally enjoy using flash cards as a form to help the child grow in what ever subject they need help growing in.
More importantly though to me it generally depends on the child his/herself and if they are auditory, visual, or kinesthetic learners.
My Hobbies
I really do enjoy art such as painting, sculpting, drawing, ect. I studied at the Corcoran College of Washington D.C in Fine Arts.
I enjoy the outdoors and learning new things.
Other Comments
I'm young and still pursuing college, but my goal is to be a elementary teacher someday and so that is why I have been and still am today so passionate about teaching. I am a patient, kind and an understanding individual and I believe in making a difference by educating the next generation. I don't have a degree (yet) but I have passion, determination and experience.
