I truly enjoy working with students of all ages. It doesn't matter what they don't know because I believe anyone can be taught anything, at least as long as you have the right teacher and materials at your disposal. I believe students are like little sponges. They're taking in everything around them. Obviously, if you fill their heads with garbage, they will learn garbage. However, if you fill their heads with quality information, you explain it in a way that they understand, and you make it fun for them to learn, then they will learn everything you're trying to teach. After I find out what the student desires to do with the knowledge, I show the student not only how to do something, but why. Also show alternate ways to do the same task to allow them to do the one that they are comfortable with. After showing, I have the student do the actual work, helping them through it. Real world examples are shown, concepts introduced, real skills practiced. We move on when student is ready to move on.

I have been working with children for several years. I started by teaching dance at a local dance studio while I was in high school.
