Graduated Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 1983 with a Major in Visual Communications. Have worked in Advertising Agencies, Printing Companies, Fortune 500 Companies. Have owned my own graphic design business for 15 years. I also teach Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign (and classes on how they all work together in the graphic design workflow) for 3 years at Hillsborough Community College.
After I find out what the student desires to do with the knowledge, I show the student not only how to do something, but why. Also show alternate ways to do the same task to allow them to do the one that they are comfortable with. After showing, I have the student do the actual work, helping them through it. Real world examples are shown, concepts introduced, real skills practiced. We move on when student is ready to move on.

Upon enrolling my children in school, I decided to be an active part of their education. So, I assisted their teachers with everything I could. Eventually, I became a trusted part of the school system (an honorary teacher, so to speak). They began giving me more responsibilities, concerning the children of the school.
