I have been a classroom teacher for the last 18 years. I have taught in both Public Junior High and High Schools, as well as Private School. I love teaching science, and love to make the class exciting. It really gets students going when you use current events to teach and when kids debate issues, it is a great learning opportunity! I think all children are driven to learn, and if directed with a little help, everyone can learn how science changes peoples lives. I feel more like a coach and less like a lecturer. I believe above all that patience is key in teaching people of all ages. I believe that in learning it's important to pace one's self, allow the mind time to digest new material, and in finding areas of learning that spark passion.
