My comments on tutoring ADD/ADHD : I am certified to teach special education. I have experience teaching students with a variety of disabilities.

When I teach I use differentiated instruction, peer tutoring, and scaffolding. I also incorporate technology and manipulatives into the curriculum. As a graduate from Tennessee Tech University, I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Elementary Education. My field experience during college (practicum assignments and student teaching) allowed me to work with a broad range of children – from kindergarten to fifth grade. I graduated from Arkansas State University in 1974 and taught third grade for seven and a half years, then moved to another town and taught 5th grade resource for six years. I relocated to Tennessee and taught high school special education for seven years. After deciding that I enjoyed teaching younger children, I transferred to Cheatham Middle School, where I presently teach fifth grade inclusion.
