A Little Bit About Me...

I just finished my masters degree in Special Education. I started out as an assistant teacher in an urban school district. I have helped many kids that have ADD with anything that is need same with ADHD I have helped at least 10 kids and I have never had a compliant. I have a method with kids that deal with Deislxya to make it were they can over come it kids with this I have helped about 5 and also have not had any complaints

As a graduate from Tennessee Tech University, I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Elementary Education. My field experience during college (practicum assignments and student teaching) allowed me to work with a broad range of children – from kindergarten to fifth grade. During my time as a student teacher in a small private school setting, I also worked one-on-one with students who needed additional assistance in math. This is my second year teaching third grade in Clarksville, as well as my second year teaching in the Before School Program, which allows me to tutor 7-8 students each morning. A Little Bit About Me...

I chose teaching as a career because I love working with children and making a difference in their lives. I want my students to be successful and will use the technique that works best for each child. I have been to several workshops and training sessions to learn different methods to help students master the material they need to know. I try to make learning fun for them.
I graduated from Arkansas State University in 1974 and taught third grade for seven and a half years, then moved to another town and taught 5th grade resource for six years. I relocated to Tennessee and taught high school special education for seven years. After deciding that I enjoyed teaching younger children, I transferred to Cheatham Middle School, where I presently teach fifth grade inclusion.
