Learning can be fun!

I am currently teaching English as a second language to post-secondary international students at California State University Sacramento. I teach all areas of English, including grammar, composition, reading, and listening and speaking skills. I have taught beginning English to refugees in Sacramento, as well as English as a foreign language in Guatemala and Honduras. I have taught both adults and children and love both populations of learners. I am also currently tutoring three Chinese girls with various proficiencies in English. A Little Bit About Me...

In addition to my Fine Art degree at Humboldt State University I earned a minor in Spanish and participated in a Spanish Language Emersion program to Parras, Mexico, where I lived with a Mexican family, attended classes full time, taught classes in English and directed the construction of a painted town mural. I also have had experience assistant teaching Art classes at the University and graduated with two years in the honors painting program. I currently work for Paradise Oaks Youth Services as a residential counselor, specifically on the 7 to 3 shift, tutoring the kids to help them complete their individual school program.
