In my case, I had the good fortune of having teachers from my early school days who helped me strengthen my motive to learn by engaging my mind directly in the educative process. They provided a purpose or rationale to direct my energies towards learning activities to engage in thinking and questioning, and cultivated the inquisitiveness in me.
