I am very patient. I will do whatever it takes to ensure that my clients are comfortable with me. Therefore, my teaching style really depends on the client. I teach which way will be best for my client. Before I begin teaching, I tend to ask my clients about their studying habits in order to understand the ways the best help them succeed and, also to see if there's any improvement need to be taking. I am a senior college student at The University of Alabama. I speak English and Arabic fluently and fully confident with the basics of the French language. I am also a McNair Scholar and I conduct academic and professional research. Besides being a student and a scholar, I volunteer my free time to tutor students. I believe all students can become successful readers with positive, engaging instruction. I am am a certified Reading Instruction Specialist and former fourth grade teacher. Most students rise 2-4 grade levels in under 50 hours of instruction using the Academic Associates Reading Program. The Academic Associates curriculum is a 13 lesson brain-based phonics curriculum. One of my favorite success stories is a student I'll call Mark. After completing only 7 lessons, Mark went from a 1.9 reading level to a 3.5 reading level. Because of his previous struggles in reading, the school he attended planned to retain him in the second grade. After only 2 months of instruction, the school called his mother to let her know that he would not be retained because of the remarkable improvement in his reading. Learning to read properly not only helped improve his grade, but prevented his being held back.

I've tutored two kids in my neighborhood for 40 buck every two weeks. It was a marvelous experience because they were very respectful young boys...majority of the time. It was kind of hard for them to keep their focus so i drew a plan which was rewarding them with candy and toys, and of course since it was my idea I didn't charge extra.
