Upon enrolling my children in school, I decided to be an active part of their education. So, I assisted their teachers with everything I could. Eventually, I became a trusted part of the school system (an honorary teacher, so to speak). They began giving me more responsibilities, concerning the children of the school. I tutored hundreds of students to increase their FCAT results, single-handedly; I corrected documents, daily; I worked on setting up the computers for the teachers and students, and I trained both to use them. Writing is one of my top subjects! I developed a writing program for elementary age students in NY. It was used to help students prepare for the state-wide writing test. It incorporated reading and writing as well as math and writing. It also included a section on incorporating listening and writing.

I have over 25 years teaching in an elementary school. I have worked extensively with children who fall below grade level or need extra help. I use games and manipulative when working with students.
