A Little Bit About Me...

I have just received my BA in E-Business management with a minor in Criminal Justice. I am beginning my Masters in Criminal Justice in March and will continue to a Dr. in the same field when possible. I do not have professional experience teaching however I have experience tutoring my niece who I have been responsible for since she was 5. She is now 12 and a straight A student. I have been working with children for several years. I started by teaching dance at a local dance studio while I was in high school. It was from this experience that I chose to go to college to become a teacher. I have a degree in Elementary Education and am ESOL certified. Over the last three years I have worked in Hillsborough County as a Middle School Science Teacher. After three years of teaching Science I had a strong desire to work with ESE and Special Needs children so I became a Sub for Hillsborough County so I could travel where need and work with various children. After finishing my Bachelor of Science degree in 1979 and one year of graduate study in 1980, I became a Naval Officer. I spent ten years as a meteorologist and oceanographer, with tours of duty in the US and abroad. Several of the tours were spent doing meteorology and tropical weather forecasting, mainly in the Pacific. After Desert Shield/Desert Storm, I left the Navy and joined the National Weather Service.
