Having taught high school in both affluent and underprivileged areas I strive to make sure that every student has a positive learning experience. My degree is a BS in Communication/Business with a minor in education. Language has always been my first love and I continue to take classes related to this field. The past few years I have worked in sales but I continue to tutor.
My philosophy has always been, "make it interesting and they will learn." However, what is interesting to you and I may not be interesting to the next person. Teaching has been my life. All children learn in different ways and there are many ways of teaching the same concept to get the student to understand. I am friendly, respectful, honest, efficient and determined. I believe that students that are given information that is not always done in the same way in a classroom gives them an advantage. There is not always time to be one-on-one and given strategies that are much simpler to understand and put into writing and realize that it is not a job to write; it can be challenging in a fun manner.
