My comments on tutoring Language Arts : I am a certified K-8 elementary teacher and have taught for 8 years. I have my Master's Degree in Reading. I have my Reading Specialist certification and have taught first grade for most of my career. Thus, I have extensive work teaching students the various aspects of Language Arts.

Teaching has always been my passion. From babysitting to leading summer camps, I have always enjoyed helping children learn. I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with English as a Second Language (ESL) and Spanish endorsements. I also have a Master's degree in Reading. I am not young enough to know everything

I agree with the concept that each person learns a bit differently, and even more so that as a tutor, I should try and find the most effective style for my tutee. My academic career also taught me the importance of setting time limits for each action item; and switching tasks to keep the mind sharp.
