A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated from Delta State University in 1999. My degree was in Biology Education. I began teaching high school science at that time. I am licensed to teach grades 7-12 in the state of Mississippi. The classes I have taught are Science Skills & Reasoning, Biology I & II, Human Anatomy & Physiology, Physical Science, and Chemistry. I currently work at Oakly Training School where I teach all sciences ranging from middle school to G.E.D.
I pride myself on being the type of teacher who teaches not only subject matter, but life skills. I come into contact with children on a daily basis who are deeply troubled. It is my job to remind them that they are not doomed for life, but that they can rise above their current circumstances and become whatever they choose. I love science and always have. A Little Bit About Me...

When I have "tutored" fellow colleagues and students in the past, I have learned that one must be creative in their teaching so that every person can learn in their own way. Creativity is the key to helping a person understand, even playful games have their place in teaching. I have always been a team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.
