A Little Bit About Me...

I have taught students in grades 1--5 as a substitute teacher in the Rochester, NY public school system and full time as a teacher of 9th and 10th grade English (one semester) and 7th grade Science (one semester) in a private school. In addition, I have developed curriculum and instructed groups of adult learners in the areas of grant-writing, customer service, software use, and business communications. Since 1996, as a freelance writer and editor, I have worked for a national law firm, graduate students preparing their doctoral dissertations, and non-fiction writers of articles and book length material.

I have worked with children, adolescents and adults both as a social worker and as a teacher. I truly enjoy developing rapport and then using it to instill trust and respect both me and for self as a learner. My own personality is easy and fun and I convey this to my students.
