Credentialed Elementary Teacher Able to Tutor K-12

I use a comprehensive homeschool curriculum with progress monitoring reports, and my lessons are interactive and designed to meet the needs of each student. I try to have fun and make it relevant to their own experience, and I ensure that every student feels included and welcomed. Every child is different in getting the concept, so it will be different in understanding concepts.
I have taught or tutored since March 2014, and have tutored from Kindergarten through 6th or 7th grade. I have taught in the areas of language arts and math. I have found that children have different ways to get a point. Therefore, there are different ways that they can study and get the concepts.

Expertise with Struggling Students

I love to work with individual students to find out where their confusion lies. From there, we rebuild understanding to enable them to move forward. I strongly feel that failures in learning happen in many ways, and it's important to take the time to assist the student in correcting it and moving on, instead of applying a label and giving up!
