College Student Eager to Tutor

I tutored at my high school for three years and have been surrounded by teachers my whole life. I am about to start tutoring at my college this summer and continue into the fall part time. I am patient and understanding. I have taken a few education classes and several math classes, both lower and upper level.

A Little Bit About Me...

I recently graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor's degree in Statistics and a Certificate in Computing which is one step down from a minor. The statistics degree program had a heavy emphasis in mathematics, so a lot of my course work contained math classes. I have always been in advanced math classes and have been tutoring friends, family, and colleagues since High School. I will be starting at the University of Kentucky in August 2012, preparing for a Masters in Statistics, and available for tutoring the end of August/early September 2012.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have learned that all students learn differently. I am patient and like to determine how the student learns first so I can better assist them. It is hard to make math fun but I try to show students the real world applications of math and do hands on activities. I love teaching and I like to teach using examples.
