After I earned my BFA, I started working towards my Master of Art in Art History. I have an understanding of most studio art forms and extensive knowledge of Art History. When I started working on my thesis, I joined the Minnesota Reading Corps, and have been teaching early literacy ever since. When tutoring I usually ask prompting questions to assist the person in working through a problem. By building off of the skills the student already has it helps them better understand the process. If a student is learning new material or does not understand the way something was explained I will try to come up with an alternative method. I will go through an example with them step by step ensuring that they understand what happens along the way. A Little Bit About Me...

I am an international student and since I came to UMD tutoring and mentoring became my favorite occupation. I have been tutoring students in a variety of classes of different categories. My tutoring history starts in my high school. I was good at most of my classes and very often helped my friends when they struggled. When I got to UMD, the same story continued. Then, I got an offer to tutor for the multicultural center and officially became a private tutor. I tutored privately about 15 international students.
