I practised law in Texas from 1966 until 2003 when I moved to Gainesville Florida with my family. I worked as a paralegal, parttime, for a lawfirm for awhile, then decided to take the Bar Exam in Florida. I took and passed the Florida Bar Exam in 2007. I enjoy helping others understand concepts that they are struggling with. It is very gratifying when a student has that "a ha" moment. I am a little strict with instruction. If a student is not paying attention or has not completed an assignment that I've asked him/her to do, I will not overlook it. I really enjoy teaching all ages. From my background in coaching young children how to swim I've become well adjusted to dealing with difficult situatioins in a learning environment. Teaching style depends on the student. Establishing rapport at the beginning of the sessions and taking the time to talk to each student one on one will set a good foundation for learning. I teach through discussion and have the student teach it back to me or another party to be sure they understand the problem. I am confident they will progress with this approach.
