Also, U of R is a liberal arts university, which means I have been educated at a high level in a variety of subjects, such as English, Math, Spanish, Art, and Science. A Little Bit About Me...

I worked as Library Assistant in the University where I earned my Accounting Degree. At first it was just a voluntary when some students needed a help especially mathematics subjects. As time went on, I became passionate about it and start coaching my friend's kids, helping them with their homework. I love doing it, it made me feel I am alive. It was on my Second year in college where I started my volunteer in Grade School and High School to conduct and arrange some extra hour of tutorial. My teaching style is to discover what each student needs to learn in order to be successful. I teach in a way that is most effective with that student. I have found that students can make rapid progress when they have an opportunity to fill in the gaps of their skills and knowledge. Over the years, I have learned many strategies to help students acquire the skills they need. I help students to build on their strengths as they overcome their academic weaknesses. I have also learned that students learn more quickly when the lesson is interesting to them, so I choose reading material for a lesson with that in mind. I have been working with children since I graduated from high school. I was a teachers assistant for the hearing impaired for 4 years and did some tutoring on the side for both deaf and hearing children. I attended college and received my bachelors degree in Psychology and then got a job as a teacher on an emergency credential and realized I loved teaching. When I graduated from college, I taught bilingual elementary kindergarten for 2 years on an emergency credential. I moved to Missouri in 1995 and since 1997 I have been a daycare director till recently. I enjoy seeing the pride and joy in each child when they learn something new. It's a great accomplishment to be a part of that feeling and success.
