I'm a researcher and educator. I earned a Bachelors and a Masters degree in Physics Hons. After graduating, I taught Physics, Mathematics and Science to high school, college and graduate students. My teaching experience was so rewarding that I won various awards. It also inspired me to pursue higher studies and I started my degree in Physical Oceanography at Florida State University. I was a teacher for a year in the 2007-2008 school year. I taught grades 3-5 and most of my students were labeled with Specific Learning Disabilities. For the past two years I have worked as a Speech and Language therapist between two special centers for students with Emotional Behavior Disorders. While providing therapy I would work on Reading, Language and Grammar skills. I also have experience tutoring for the past year.

Many times, especially in science, students do not like a subject, because it is not explained in terms they understand. I believe the key is to relate any subject to something the students already understand/love. If a student needs help in math and they love M&M’s, then you can find an equation for the various colors in a bag of M&M’s or find the surface area of an M&M. Everything relates to everything, the connection just needs to be made.
