Musical is one of my top subjects! Music is my specialty. i am well versed in five different instruments, I have taken all four years of music theory, and have a comprehensive knowledge of the subject, having written and perform several compositions.

i am just a twenty year old college student, Who has learned a lot in this world, and looking to pass it on to whomever it might effect. Very caring, musical, and a great people person. I feel children are very self-aware and are very vulnerable to positive and negative feedback. Therefore, no matter how little progress is made, praise them. If no progerss is made or if an issue needs to re-addressed, praise them..."That was great, but let's try it this way!" I feel that you are positive, smiling, and they believe that you believe in them, 9 out of 10 kids will follow you!
I was more of an instructor than a teacher. I was a day camp counselor at Solway House parent/child resort in Saugerties N.Y. I instructed kids how to swim, dive, play various sports and gave dancing lessons to the guests. As a high school student I tutored 7th and 8th graders in an after school community center. I was one of a few staff at the University of Connecticut to instruct graduates and staff in the use of the various electronic facilites available to them.

A Little Bit About Me...

I love teaching and have indeed taught everything from basic reading to dance class. I have tutored people that range in age from five to age sixty-two. I believe that everyone has the ability to learn if he or she is taught in a way that makes sense to that individual. Although I do not hold a teaching degree, I believe that my BA in psychology enables me to understand the learning process (and learning disabilities) in a way that is very beneficial to a variety of learners. I have two adult children who have had learning disabilities while growing up, and fully understand a parent's frustration in encouraging their child over these particular hurdles. I have a BS in Business Administration and achieved my degree over the period of nine years while working and raising my family. After graduation, I was asked to continue as a tutor/writing consultant for eleven more years.
