I have worked with companies whose major focus was to increase math and science scores. I have found visual aids are an effective way to teach math and other subjects. Because my educational background is mathematically and science based, most of my tutoring experiences are in the subjects of math and science. My teaching style is based on the student’s learning style. Each child is different and may require different teaching methods to facilitate learning. Some children are more visual and may require more interactive exercises to learn. I do not believe in spoon-feeding information to children but taking the time to ensure that they fully grasped the concept of a problem and are able to think through a solution on their own.
