In high school I tutored junior high students who were having trouble in with school. After high school I joined the U.S Navy, where I trained junior personal for three years. I used my G.I bill Benefits to attend the University of Connecticut, where I received my Bachelors in History with a minor in Political Science. I stayed at the UConn to complete my Masters in Education where I complete 15 weeks of student teaching. Most recently I have worked as a substitute teacher at both the middle and high school level.
I feel it is important to understand what is different and unique about every student. Not all students will learn in the same way, nor will they find their desire to learn in the same way. During my time as a tutor and my Student Teaching experience through SUNY Geneseo, I felt I could help any student at any time. I feel like I can relate to students and can help them learn.
