GED is one of my top subjects! I have experience, teaching, tutoring, and assessing students to prepare them for the GED test.

When I teach I use differentiated instruction, peer tutoring, and scaffolding. I also incorporate technology and manipulatives into the curriculum. My comments on tutoring GED : I worked as a GED math tutor for a year, so I'm very familiar with that part of the test.

I have been teaching math since 8/2000. I first began teaching in a large urban district and then switched to teaching in a private school. I have taught math at both the high school and middle school levels. The subjects I have taught include algebra I and II, geometry, AP Calculus AB,and middle school math. I have tutored math every year that I taught, and also tutored GED math for 1 year.
I think that I am very clear and concise in my explanations of concepts. I am also very good at explaining concepts in multiple ways. So if a student doesn't get how to do a problem using one method, I can go over another approach. I'm a good listener.

I have loved education and the process of learning since I was a child. Due to family issues, I dropped out at in the 9th grade but due to extensive reading most of my life on many subjects, and being gifted intellectually, thank God, I was enrolled in college at the age of 16. Due to my age, I lacked the discipline needed to succeed then so joined the Army at 18 and finished first in my class in their HS program. Students have different learning styles, it easy for me teach in a variety of styles so that to make sure my students understands. I do also apply almost everything I teach to real world situations, for example most young students may think that learning about triangles will not benefit his/her career in business.
