Math and Business Tutor

I have completed all College level Math classes for an Electical Engineering degree. Math is my area of expertise. I also have several other areas that I have tutored and been able to help students (see my course list). My experience includes 25 years of real world experience in the engineering and business fields which when balanced with my book based knowledge has allowed me to improve the tutoring experience by providing concrete, real world examples within several study areas.
Open to what style works best for the student. I can teach directly through examples, check work that the client has completed, ensure preparation for any test is adequate, etc.

I am majoring in psychology and minoring in math. I have interests and excel in both of these areas. I will be graduating my BA degree in Dec 2010 in Psychology Departmental Honor, and a math minor from Georgian Court University. I took 20+ psychology college classes and 6 math college classes (incluing college algebra, Pre-Cal, Cal I, II and III, linear algebra, and discrete mathematics. My teaching style is focused on student achievement. Many parents complain that their child does poorly on tests. This is often a result of inadequate teaching practices which fail to recognize individual learning differences in students. My goal in teaching is to individualize the learning process for each student, so that the student understands and retains knowledge and is able to explain what they learned. This process increases their test scores and confidence. Students often require that educational materials be modified or accommodated to meet their particular needs.
