Teaching has always been a passion of mine. I started tutoring students in subjects such as Math, English, Science, History, and Spanish, when I was merely a Junior in High School. Over the course of my career, I have taught a wide variety of courses for age groups K-12 which include: English, math, history, geography and English as a second language. I am quite comfortable with classes of different sizes, at different levels, and with various teaching styles. I incorporate the tactile, visual and auditory teaching methods. I have also taught adults to read in the adult literacy programs at many libraries. Some believe classes should be teacher-centered, where the teacher is expert and authority in presenting information. Others take a learner-centered approach, viewing their role as more of a facilitor of student learning. I do both.
