I’m great with kids, I have very strong patience and hade mostly straight a’s all the way through to 7th grade. I can work at the child’s pace and help them catch up to the pace most kids follow. I’m willing to make arrangements on prices, but the lowest I’ll go is 10 dollars an hour. I make my price cheap because I know that the child’s parent obviously has a kid and I know money can be tight when it comes to children.

As a college graduate, I have taken several courses to enhance my knowledge base in education. I have earned a BS in Elementary Education with endorsements in Reading and Special Education and a MS in Secondary Education with an endorsement in Guidance Education. I will be graduating in May with a Specialist in Education degree. As a public school educator, I teach in a self-contained setting. I realize that, in order for a student to want to learn, the subject must be presented to them in an interesting way. I know I have the ability to make the subject relative to the child in a way that is both easy-to-understand, yet effective. I am extremely patient, enthuastic, and truly love the subject of English. I have served as a substitute teacher in Hayward, CA for 1 1/2 years. I worked as a tutor for Learning & Loving It in San Jose, CA for 3 years. I served as a tutor and teacher of adult education in Loganville, GA for 1 year. I am currently on the substitute teacher roster for the Vicksburg School District, and I have been so for two years. I first introduce myself and get to know a little about the student I am tutoring. Then, I establish a baseline of what they have learned so that I can direct my attention to their strengths and weaknesses. Finally, I get into the material with the student and show them how and why the material is important and applicable in the world in which we live.
