I double-majored in biology in chemistry in undergrad, so the field of science and medicine is my first love and my strength. I have also received a Masters of Public Health Degree in Epidemiology, and have since completed my 2nd year of medical school. I have always had a strong affinity for math and english as well. I have a published thesis paper that was constructed and presented as required for my masters curriculum. I have been tutoring since I was in high school, and have tutored elementary to college level courses.
I have a relaxed, stress-free teaching style, while staying on task and topic. My teaching style reflects my belief that anyone can learn and understand a concept if the proper nurturing and practice is applied. I realize, from tutoring different age groups, that patience, consideration, and respect are all factors in how well a person can grasp the material. In general, my approach is to go over a math problem step by step, at a pace the student can handle, and then once the student's confidence is up, allow them to tackle the problem.
