I have discovered over the past year of substituting that I absolutely love teaching. Students are very comfortable with me as I am a very positive, friendly person who smiles a lot. As the parent of a college student, I was a tutor for 12 years. I know how to make learning fun and rewarding.
I have a BS in Business and have worked in Mortgage and Banking for many years. This industry requires excellent written communication skills as well as practical math skills. Since I have worked students with a wide variety of learning issues; I feel that I am well prepared to assess and deliver educational materials and instruction to any student. Teaching children of all ages is fun and a good learning experience. Because each child is unique, and with that uniqueness, I treat them as an individual. I believe as an adult, we have to teach the children the right way in life so they can grow up knowing what is right from wrong. After ten years working as a nurse in different facilities, I have finally found what I really like to do most-teaching.I have an MBA in Business Administration which I hope one day will enable me to open and operate my own business.
