A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is energetic and over the top. I like to think back to when I was in school and the subjects that stuck out to me, and why. It was because I was having fun learning, and that is how I try to approach each of my lessons. I relate them to real world situations if possible and try to put a personal spin on my lessons. Both my undergraduate and graduate collegiate experiences have given me ample knowledge and skills to draw from with regard to teaching and tutoring. The experience of doing it, however, gave me much more. While I was in graduate school at the University of Texas I tutored women athletes. My teaching career began immediately after I finished graduate school in Austin, Texas. I taught in Austin for a year at Virginia College and then took a teaching job at the Florida Keys Community College. I was a Speech Teacher. Teaching students how to present themselves in verbal and written presentation was rewarding because I knew that I was preparing them for the future.
