Marine Biology is one of my top subjects!

I have worked in the aquarium industry for 19years. I have indepth knowledge, practical skills related to the marine science field. I grew up in a VA suburb of Washington, DC and spent my summers and holidays from college as a page, intern, and tour guide in the US Capitol. I have a passion for learning that I would love to share with students in need. My teaching style is based on the student’s learning style. Each child is different and may require different teaching methods to facilitate learning. Some children are more visual and may require more interactive exercises to learn. I do not believe in spoon-feeding information to children but taking the time to ensure that they fully grasped the concept of a problem and are able to think through a solution on their own. I will work to develop their critical thinking skills and will challenge them, so that they are not just passive learners but active participants in the cognitive process.
