I have lived in a Spain, traveled to the dominican republic and I majored in Spanish literature. I have conducted translation of documents from English to Spanish and Spanish to English. Moreover, my first language is Arabic. I have been tutoring non-stop since I was an undergraduate student myself, and even had the opportunity to TA at St. Lawrence University. I have since used my translation skills in business, taught two years of advanced Spanish language courses at the University of Virginia, and two years of all levels of Spanish at St. Anne's-Belfield School. I love teaching full-time, but nothing compares to the one-on-one interaction and first row seat to the "aha!" moments that I enjoy as a tutor. Through teaching Spanish, I have come to learn that most of my students were never property taught English grammar and struggle with general writing skills, so I am also happy to tutor in those areas as well.
