I have since used my translation skills in business, taught two years of advanced Spanish language courses at the University of Virginia, and two years of all levels of Spanish at St. Anne's-Belfield School. I love teaching full-time, but nothing compares to the one-on-one interaction and first row seat to the "aha!" moments that I enjoy as a tutor. Through teaching Spanish, I have come to learn that most of my students were never property taught English grammar and struggle with general writing skills, so I am also happy to tutor in those areas as well.

As a College graduate, I was dedicated to the advancement of myself and others. I have earned a degree in Mass Communications, yet have had the opportunity to Substitute Teach, be a Para-Professional, and also teach at-risk student in a one-on-one setting as a Homebound Instructor for 2 years. This system also translates to teaching. The last step is the most important; it forces the student to think for him or herself and instills confidence that the problem is not beyond his or her level of understanding.
